Located northwest of Montgomery, Prattville offers the best of both worlds: a big city with modern conveniences in a friendly, natural setting. Families here send their children to schools in the Autauga County School System, which offers eight schools. And the area continues to gather acclaim for the variety of first-class golf courses around. The Capitol Hill golf courses, which are part of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, have hosted the Navistar LPGA Classic on the LPGA Tour since 2007 and continue to beckon golfers to their green pastures.
Rich in history, Prattville is also known as the “Fountain City” for the abundance of artesian wells that once flowed through the area. Named after its founder and the great industrialist Daniel Pratt, the city prides itself on landmarks like the Daniel Pratt Historic District that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
